About a week back, my steel guitar started losing volume. I have eliminated cables, and Amp. I have two volume pedals that are almost new a Hilton and a Goodrich. Same volume loss with both pedals. When guitar is attached directly to amp, no volume loss. Most of the time low volume until pedal goes about 3/4 down then goes wide open. This is an Emmons Legrande 111 . Any suggestions? Thanks

Pretty interesting. It seems highly unlikely that both volume pedals would have the same issue so ordinarily I'd think about the cables but you said that you eliminated them so there are no more variables that I can think of between the output jack of the guitar and the input of the amp. Just to be sure I'd borrow another volume pedal and cables. I've seen output jacks cause problems as well as pickups but cables are the most suspect. Lets us know what you come up with. This thread would best be suited for the electronics section.
