He plays this weird diminished sounding chord at 2:49 in this video. It looks like he's in the 5th fret, and using his low B flat tuning that should make the notes D# A and C, but I can't get it to sound right for some reason.

I think he's doing D#, A, and D, which would make it B7#9?

Yep, that makes more sense right there than a diminished chord. It sounding right, now.
