About 18 years ago, my wife and I spent a weekend in Nashville. We went to one of the clubs on Broadway and saw an act called 'The Great Austins'.....a man who sang and strummed a guitar and his wife who sang and played bass. They belted out Hank Williams music all evening. With them was a steel player. I have asked several people about 'The Austins' but have not met with any success. It was a great evening that we would have liked to repeat. Since then we have attended several Steel Guitar Conventions/Jamborees and have met several steel players but we are unable to associate any of them with the steel player of that night.

I would like to identify that steel player as well as acquire some information about 'The Great Austins'.

Thanks......Ben

That was me, more like 20 years ago, back in my single days! The girl who was playing bass that night now owns that club.

Thanks Pat. I assume that 'The Great Austins' no longer perform.
