Just curious how many steel players are truck drivers? I'm thinking about going back to driving as I'm not making ends meet as a steel player.

I was a piggy-backer before my last heart surgery. Did some OTR both team and single early on. I mis it. I gave up my CDL. I have a heart defib. implanted so no more medical card for me.

Yes sir ! My father got me behind the wheel. A CDL in the pocket is a guaranteed job. It's not a job just anybody can do. You work weird hours and you're away from home a lot. It has the potential to make a LOT OF MONEY when working for the right carrier

I drove for over 15 years....was grandfathered in to the CDL.....Got to see a lot of country......gave up CDL in 2005 right after Katrina took everything. I had two rigs....An '85 Freightliner and a '90 model Pete. Good money in it Johnny if you can get with a good carrier. But, as stated by someone else, you are definitely gone a great deal......picking time is limited. Think it over real good.
