Like a lot of people, I like having a table behind my steel at home to hold a music stand, computer, bars, a glass of tea - whatever. Also, like most steelers, I've accumulated a few bars. I was using a roll of masking tape to hold the bars... then one day I needed some tape and grabbed it. Shortly after, I bumped the table. Oops! No more! I made this very high-tech bar holder today:
just a piece of 3" PVC. I could tell you I cut it at an angle intentionally so you could put different length bars in it, but I'd be lying. _________________ Bringing steel guitar to the bukid of Negros Oriental! |

That sounds like something I would say. I like the bar holder. It's light, durable, easy to carry, and can be painted or decorated to one's personal taste. It's good practical thinking. And if I ever make myself one, I'm gonna cut mine at an angle too.

What would we do without Poly Vinyl Chloride...
FYI, if you need a plastic tube bar case, go buy a pack of Mini M&Ms. Enjoy the candy, pull the label off and you have a bar holder.
Only thing is when you start playing, you'll be craving chocolate... smell your bar! _________________ Amateur Radio Operator NA4IT (Extra)

I may, in fact, be nuts. However, I am screwed onto the right bolt... Jesus! |
