Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but I have seen some beautiful Derby steels for sale on the forum lately, and am just curious if they are still being built. I found a web site, but as you know info on the internet can be out of date sometimes. I dont want to buy one, just curious is all

That is an old site put up by Dutch player Johan Jansen. I think even he is playing another make now.
Derby guitars owner/builder Charlie Stepp passed away in 2009, I believe. There were a half dozen or so finished after that.
Unless someone has recently begun, Derby guitars are no longer being built as far as I know. |
