I have been reading about the Nashville 112 and saw online that the Blue Marvel Speaker (stock) weighs only 7 lb. ? Is this true? I also read on the forum that the Jensen Neo weighs 6 lb. less than the blue marvel? Im guessing that the Jensen isn't 1 lb. So If anybody knows the weight of a Nv112 speaker please let me know.
The main reason for this thread is that I am looking at the Telonics Neo 12 speaker for my Nashville 112 but I don't want to buy a speaker that isn't any lighter than the stock blue marvel in the 112.
What speaker will lighten up the already light Peavey Nashville 112?
Thank you

I think the Telonics took about 6lbs off of the NV112 weight. If that number isn't accurate I can say it was quite noticeable.

Online specs for the standard blue marvel show it weighs 7lbs, yes, but the blue marvel designed for the Nashville 112 has a much larger magnet. I'd be willing to believe a neodymium would shave off 6lbs or so.

Jeff, I took the Blue Marvel out of my Nash. 112 a few weeks ago and it weighed 11 lbs on my bathroom scale. The Eminence Travis Toy that I replaced it with weighs just over 7 lbs. I believe the Telonics, [also made by Eminence], is the same weight.

Jeff,

The Telonics is a lot lighter, more efficient, and sounds better.... A real improvement in that amp.
