Any recommendations for live music in Ft. Worth Feb 17 thru 19?
I'll be working a trade show at the convention center, and would love to catch some live music.

Definately Pearls Dancehall and Longhorn Saloon which are both in the Fort worth Stockyards just North of the Convention Center.

Both almost always have steel. The longhorn won't let a band in that doesn't have steel and/or fiddle. I would check out the White Elephant which is within blocks of the other two. They usually but not always have steel.

Hey Brooks,
Your best chance on Ft. Worth in the stockyards would be Wednesday night Feb 15th at the Longhorn Saloon on Exchange Street.Landon Dodd and The Dancehall Drifters will be playing..He uses Ray Austin or Nathan Fleming and every once in a while he may have Gary Carpenter for steel.
Thanks Eddie

Brooks- I played at the Longhorn this past Sat. 2/11 and it was announced that Dale Watson and his Lonestars are there on 2/18.. I'm not sure who currently plays steel for him, but he is known to have had awesome players in the past.. There could be some other steel players in the Stockyard area, as well.

Funny how things happen but I just had a band hire me to fill in at the Longhorn Saloon in the Stockyards Friday the 17th. Stop by and say Hi.
