My deepest sympathies to Charlie's family. I met him first time in the mid 60's and then again at Sonny's Guitar Shop in Columbus, Ohio. Such a gentlemen and great fiddle player. He'll definitely be missed by all who knew him. |

I wonder if he is related to Tony Justice that lives near me and that I've worked with a couple of times. One of his brother's (I think) was one of Mel Tillis' fiddle players. Another of those Justice's played fiddle and worked with several in Nashville including Paycheck. |

Paul Justice played for Mel Tillis for over 20 years. He used to come sit in with a band I was playing with in Alabama. One night we were fronting Paycheck and his brother Roy was playing with Paycheck. Paul come in, borrowed my foot petal, and used it to rehearse with them the next day. That night Paycheck had twin fiddles and it was fantastic. I was in a band that fronted Tillis in Wiersdale Fl. and paul brought his fiddle and the other fiddle player brought a mandolin back stage. Wow, I've never heard better musicians.
My condolences to the Justice family. _________________ Carter 12 string 4petals 5knees, Mullen G2 3 petals 4 knees

So sad to hear this. He was truly GREAT and played with so much feeling and emotion. Perhaps someday someone will write a book about the great band musicians of the 60's like Charlie and Sonny Curtis. They deserve as much recognition as their bosses IMO. We'll never see their like again. |

You know, down through the years folks have ask me if I was related to Paul or Charlie, Maybe way back, way back we all might have been linked together, but fact is I'm mighty proud to be a "Justice" in any situation. RIP Charlie. _________________ Email: azpedalman@gmail.com
