Anybody know what kind of guitar and amp Steve McClure used with Garth Brooks. I think this guy has a great steel sound. Thanks in advance. |

Steve plays a Sierra Guitar.
He used to play a black Emmons Lashley LeGrande. I owned that guitar for a while, then sold it. It was purchased in Nashville from Bobbe Seymour. I didn't know that this was Steve's touring guitar until after I bought it. His name was on the case..
As far as amps - he doesn't use an amp on stage as far I know. I wonder what he does use?
Hope this helps.

Steve played an Emmons in the early nineties, but later, he switched to a Sierra steel. Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10 |

Yes, I think I sold Steve all his equipment except the Sierra he used at the end of his career with Garth. This includes the non-pedal fender he played with Garth.
Emmons LeGrande and Peavey amps were his first choice.
Steve is a good friend, I haven't heard from him in a while, I miss him, a nice guy.

Too Cool, Thanks guys. I really like Steve's playing especially on the Garth double live album. and Tim< I remember you selling a black legrande on here, that I would have liked to buy, but I didn't have enough cash at the time. In fact I still don't have enough cash !! Ha |
