Have an audition Tuesday night to play pedal steel with a local band working a few gigs a month. Thanks Larry Robertson for recommending me.

The band leader is very organized. He sent a set list, and for the rehearsal, charts, youtube links for covers, audio files for original tunes. It's been a long time since I've played out. This will be a first pedal-steel only gig for me.

My wife can't wait for me to get out of the house. She wrote the checks for this rig, so has only herself to blame. I'm gonna hang on to her, yep!

Genre... Make Country Music Great Again.

Looks like I passed the audition. What Sally Field said... lol.

After being away from this for so long it was a surprise to easily slip back into the feel of it. Will be my first time doing 100% pedal-steel.

6-piece: lead vocal/acoustic 6-string, (lots of)keys, guitar, bass, drums, pedal steel. First gig... 22 April.

"Some folks trust to reason, others trust to might.
I don't trust to nothing, but I know it come out right.
Say it once again now, whoa I hope you'll understand.
When it's done and over, Lord, a man is just a man.
Playing, playing in the band."

Cool! There's nothing better for getting your chops up to par than playin', playin' in the band . . daybreak, daybreak on the land! Cool
