I have the opportunity to purchase a pair of like new Peavey tweed 115 classic cabs. I haven't investigated as far as what speakers are in them but I plan to replace them with Neo speakers If I buy them anyway.
I think I remember seeing Jeff Newman Playing with a pair of Peavey Classic speakers in the workshop videos he produced. Does anybody else have any first hand experience with the Peavey Classic 115 cabs?

They are great sounding cabinets loaded with 1501 speakers. Only down side is they're heavy like 27 lbs empty.

I used a pair of these with the Walker JBL 15" speakers for church services. They sounded great! They are currently in my music room.

I have a pair with Black Widows and they sound great. However I gig with a single Session 400 or a Special 130. Less stuff to carry.

I have two. They were originally offered as an extension speaker for the Delta Blues all tube amp with a Blue Marvel 16 Ohm Speaker. The ones I have have BW 4 Ohm speakers. I ordered a 16 Ohm Peavey Speaker and put it in one and use it with the Delta Blues Amp. These are nice Cabs and I don't know why Peavey discontinued them. With the BW speaker they are heavy but not nearly as heavy as Fender Side Kick Speaker Cabinets.

Man oh man! I bought a set a week ago and I love the sound. Wouldn't you know it, I came across another Deal today on another pair of the Classic 115E. Great cabs and not too heavy.
