Are the dimension's of the Zum and Emmons D10's the same? I have a Zum hybread on order and currently play a LeGrand D10. I use a very nice Dell Case on wheels and just wondering if I can use the same case for the Zum. |

Joe Long,I rode all the way back from Dallas to San Antonio with you and you never once metioned getting a new Zum. How is that possible? Maybe because I was snoring? |

If the new Zums are like my '90s one, the corners are wider and longer than an Emmons. The end plates and where they wrap around the front and back are not almost flush with the body like most steels. There are blocks at the corners that stick out past the body maybe half and inch. So altogether, I'm thinking the guitar needs about an inch more room in width and length than an Emmons. |

Darn, Roger, I thought you knew that I placed a deposit on a Zum with the new changer. I going to give it a try and see how I like it. I have played on one and I like what I hear and feel with the guitar.
I was disappointed that Bruce can not get the rosewood mica anymore. That's a real bummer.
I was sure wanted the Zum to be the same size as the Emmons guitar. |

Joe, I think the Zum is the same size as a LeGrande but about 1/4" wider aprons. I believe it will fit in an Emmons case but since Bob Dell makes his cases with so little tolerance the lid might not shut. I do believe the length and width is the same as Emmons but the Zum is just a shade deeper.

Cousin Joe !! Your gonna love your Zum mate, although I don't have the hybrid changer, it is one hell of a great guitar. I have a Dell case for my Zum, but can't help with comparing sizes with the Emmons sorry. |

Great looking guitar. Is the 8th pedal angled in just a tad, or is it just the camera angle?

Gary, what color is your guitar? It looks like the birds eye pattern. |

Joe, I believe the pattern is called chestnut burl maple with hues of cherry and medium brown. Call Bruce, he can answer your questions with more accuracy. 816-380-4568 |

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire! Looks like the formica manufacturers are really coming up with some great new stuff because that makes for a great looking guitar! I wonder if they are even aware that people build guitars with there product?
The eighth pedal pad is cut at a angle so you can hit your #9 pedal with your foot over the 8'th without accidentally engaging it partially. First time I ever saw that was on Gary's old guitar. Anybody notice the cabinet drop compensator on the E9 neck, first time I have seen Bruce use one of these. |

I ordered a new Hybred at the Dallas show. Dang Gary, I'm having to wait 18 months. Well at least I'll have plenty of time to figure out what changes I want on it, color, Etc. Your's sure looks nice!!!!! [This message was edited by W Franco on 14 March 2005 at 11:12 PM.] |

Joe,
I`m using a flight case I originally had made for a Lashley Legrand D-10 with a Zum D-10 (2000) now. It`s a tight fit but it works.
