Here's what I believe to be a Melobar LS. Pickup info posted in Ted Smith's informative post below. I would classify it as in "Good" shape. Much of it looks close to new, but there are small dings here and there, and one scratch through the finish on the underside (one of the pictures shows it.)

It is currently tuned to C6 and it has no case.

SOLD I accept Paypal (please pay the fees) or a check.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or with additional information that should be added.
Thanks!

Bump - I believe the pickup is an EMG Select - I've got two rattlers - identical except for the pickup covers - one says EMG Select - the other is like yours - just says U.S.A.

Both sound great !

Thanks J.D.
The seller had said that it was an EMG Select, but I couldn't find a picture of that pickup that matched this cover so I was not comfortable saying what it was.

I had an 8 string version of this guitar at one point. It sounded great.

It's an early LS model (Rattlers are all stained with M213 Humbuckers) LS stands for Lap Steel...like SG is Solid Guitar Smile, The USA label is the Bill Lawrence predecessor to the 250 Lawrence pickup.

Ping keys (SLS model had the Grovers) 22 7/8" scale.
Go to melobarted.blogspot.com under identifying models, half way down the page for time and history. There is also a good youtube video of the guitar being played below the photo on the site.

Hope that helps,

Ted

That is one helluva price. I'm flush with lap steels (and I already have an SLS), otherwise I'd scoop this one up.
