Last several days I have been unable to get Steel Radio and trying the website shows not found. Are they now gone? Did Mike Scott close down? Never seen a post about it.

Yes, SteelRadio is gone.

According to Mike, basically the funds to operate simply ran out.

Sad

More info here: http://www.steeltrappings.com/index.php/2016/12/steelradio-com-shutting-down/

I've been listening to Boot Liquor on somafm.com, and it's OK, but there is nothing like steelradio.

Very sad.

I miss listening to Steel Radio. It is sad that ASCAP forced them to shut down. I sent donations occasionally to steel radio. Too bad it was not better supported.

“They take everyone’s money and have never paid anyone. They are now threatening me with fines upwards of $175,000.00. It is legalized extortion and I’m one of the many fall guys.” He continues, “There are many places that have been shut down because of their ‘rules’. "

Music terrorists are all they are.....

This is great news. I am listening now.

Wow, I thought that was gone for good. Super. Thanks to Debbie Conner for putting this back on the air. Debbie was a long time DJ on one of our better country radio stations. Her involvement in the Pedal Steel Convention and the Hawaiian Steel guitar has helped to improve on getting the music heard. Wonderful!!

Anyone have the actual link to where I can get it direct, rather than through an aggregator?
