Here are some pictures of the one-of-a-kind universal that I built for myself about thirty years ago. It’s a little rough around the edges because, at the time, the only metal working machines I had access to were, a drill press, a metal cutting bandsaw, and a small bench lathe. The only things I didn’t make for it, are the legs (atlas microphone stands), the pedals (bought from Pedalmaster), and the tuning pegs (mini Schallers). This is the steel that I played when I worked with Commander Cody about twenty years ago, you can see a little of one of the gigs at the link below.

Thanks Erv, I totally agree, I've gone and watched some videos that some of the members have on YouTube, some incredible players! I don't know if anyone has noticed or not, but it's a little backwards, I call it my Polish steel, aluminum frame and a wood neck.

Hi Brad...great looking guitar...love the add-on neck!

Aluminum frame and wood neck "backward thinking"? No, "forward thinking"!
My Sierras' are all aluminum frames with wood necks. That's Sierras' standard construction.

Thanks Tom I appreciate that. As far as Sierra's design, I haven't seen one in years. I've been completely out of the steel guitar loop for probably twenty years or so, ever since I started building violins for a living. I'll have to take a look at some of the new guitar designs out there, it should be quite interesting, thanks again.
