Archie, email the seller & ask him if he's a Fo'Bro
i'd spend those kind of $$$ on a FB easier than just poppin'em on ebay
(the seller does have very good feedback)

In my opinion it's a tad high. I sold mine recently (with two more levers and steel lever brackets...replaced the pot metal) for $1585 here on the forum. It was in great condition with no scratches on the fretboard. You can see pictures of it if you do a search under my name in For Sale: Instruments. Maybe mine was low but I think it was about right from what I've seen. I can't blame someone for asking more because someone will surely pay it but I think if you're patient you could do better.

I didn't know EMG ever made steel guitar pickups. Anyone have any experience with them? Were they active or passive?

I had an EMG pickup on a Sho~Bud LDG at one time and it was very good. It was an active pickup and I had a 9 volt battery mounted underneath the guitar.

Looks like my Super Pro, 'cept mine has the colored position markers, is in better shape and cost about $600 less then what he's asking for a price on there.

When did EMG stop making steel pickups?
