What is the function of the cap screws in the wrap around behind the changer?

Those are split tuning adjustment screws.

Mark, good grief that is beautiful !!! I cant believe the classy looking steels you get...wanna trade it for my carter sd10 ? Just teasin, but it is really sharp and that white fretboard really sets it off ! I have heard some great players on a fessy
