If all else fails you can go to sourceforge.net and
download bestpractice..a program that will let you slow down and loop your lick over and over with out
changing key so you can figure it out...its small and free..can't beat it for that. _________________ Music is good for the soul..playing it is even better! I myself just found this out a short while ago, and so I assume there are many who don't know, but on youtube itself, in the lower right hand corner of every video, you will find "settings" that will let you slow a song down without altering the pitch.

Probably just a different way of playing it, Ian, but I'm hearing it like this:
Tab: |
1 5----
2 5----
3 4-5----
4 4-5---- 5-----5----
5 5A----5----

FWIW, I hear something like this, where the top note doesn't change from third to fourth note, but the lower note does -- similar to what Donny posted above:
Tab: |
4 8R__7___5___5_
5 8a__7a__5a__5_
|
I don't know if it's the same in the Ryan Adams song or not...
Edit: Same notes as Donny's, but I think I like Donny's/Dan's way better!!

What Donny said. I overuse that lick to death. My band might start docking me every time I use it. of course, that would presuppose we actually make any money. |

I wrote it the way I did because I thought I heard a break between the second and third notes, but on listening to it again I realise that it's a volume pedal accent and Randy's version therefore seems right. Donny's would be the one if you wanted a chime effect instead. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!
