I was just wondering if any of you have experience with this speaker and your opinions on it? It seems tough to find any 16 ohm speakers that are designed with pedal steel in mind, so any other suggestions that you may have I would surely comsider.

Why would you need a 16? If you need a 16 Ohm load, a pair of 8s in series will get you there.
I'd think that speakers aimed at the guitar market will be designed for early breakup, an undesirable trait for most of us.

Because I'm pretty sure that I need a 16 ohm speaker for my Valveking amp which seems to require a 16 ohm speaker. At least the version that I have seems to. I do like the tone of the amp but when I push it at all, it gets too muddy. It's a single 12 that I use for coffee shop and care center jobs.

You might try an Eminence 'Cannabis Rex' which is available in a 16 0hm version. I have them installed (in place of the stock speakers) in two different amps and have been very pleased with the results. The hemp cone makes for a very smooth lower end and seems to smooth out any ice pick like tones that are present in the high end.

Thank you, David. I have been researching for a while and somehow missed that one. It does look promising, I'm going to give it a closer look.
