Does anyone know what effects pedals Buddy used on this album? Some tunes on this and other Swing Shift Band albums with Ray Pennington have a slightly phased steel sound. _________________ 2016 Williams D12 8 x 8, 2015 Williams D12 8 x 8, 2023 Williams S12 4 x 5, Milkman Amps, 1974 Gibson Byrdland |

Ernie Renn might know. If I were to guess, it was probably Lexicon, if anything at all.
I don't know for certain, but somehow think he used the MCI D10s on those Ray Pennington tracks.
I know when he did it live it was just Peavey amp and a delay (best I remember).
Bill Ferguson put up video on youtube of a practice session and a performance from the 1997 ISGC (I think). Last time I looked at that it was a Derby D10. Peavey and the delay pedal sitting in a chair. |

Steve;
I would imagine he was using the Lexicon MPX-1. I think a number of his parts were recorded in his music room going direct into his mixing console. Then adding the effects afterwards. Although he did have a Lexicon PCM-41 in his music room rack.
Buddy always sounds like Buddy... _________________ My best,
