Hi I have a cheap Ordro HDV-Z20 Digital Cam recorder. Takes great videos and the cheap mono shotgun mic (chinese as well as the camera) records sound pretty good. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a cheap but reasonable quality stereo mic for these type of video cam corders with a hotshoe. It takes a 3.5mm plug. It can record in stereo as I plugged into socket from a stereo CD player and get left and right channel recording with good quality. I just want to make some reasonable quality youtube music videos with stereo sound.
I'm thinking maybe something from Ebay at a reasonable price.

take a look at a Sony ECM-MS907

Condenser, small, stereo, very nice. Uses 1 AA battery.

I forgot to add, I think I paid around $80 new. I used it often with my Zoom H2, excellent clear hi quality stereo recordings.
