Just wondering if anybody has tried one of the new Boss "Katana" amps either for lap steel, or, in the case of the 100 watt model, for pedal steel? How would it compare to the Cube amps that are so popular? |

Basically, the Katana range are amps that are principally voiced for electric guitar, with a range of Boss effects (normally found in stomp boxes) built in.
These effects (and their parameters) can be edited using the "Boss Tone Studio" app available over the net.
VERY detailed info is available via the Vguitar Forum "Katana" Sub-board:

I tried the Katana 50 on my Pedal Steel and couldnt get enough bottom end out of it. Tried several adjustments however, I didnt go to roland app and change presets. _________________ Justice Prolite Sd 10 Mullen D10

They're using the name "Katana?" For how long? Neil Zaza gave me a Keely Katana pedal a couple/three years ago. I just went to the Keely site, and there is a whole line of Katana effects. I wonder if he registered a copyright? _________________ Dr. Z Surgical Steel amp, amazing!
