I emailed Kevin hatton, and I got a reply that said: Identify yourself, Thankyou?? I replied that I was a customer looking for a case...No reply.......do I need a passport, driving liscence, green card to buy a case? Lol
Looking for a serious case business that sales cases, as you all know, my money is good!

I ordered a Gator flight case for my ShoBud S10 from B&H photo:

Around $200 with the foam. Not quite enough room for the pedal bar so I got a padded rifle case for the pedal bar and legs. Works great. Bungee the rifle case to the gator case, Gator case has wheels. Real nice split case setup for less than $250. If this one won't fit your guitar I would bet they make one that will. These are are pretty heavy duty and look like they will stand up to years of abuse.

| Larry I have a New Cese from Thomas Case Co. in North Carolina....It was made for Emmons LeGrande and I won't be using it....I will sell it for what I paid for it plus shipping! If you or anyone can use it and it would save me money not to ship it back! |

Larry just a reminder; there are a LOT of scam emails going around looking for info. I too get many emails from guys wanting my services(I restore old shobud steel guitars); and if they don't tell me their name(Info..etc.) I cannot risk emailing what I do and more; as that can only go into a huge log of services that produce more scam emails looking for more info.
So chalk it up to Kevin for keeping his email box clear of that stuff; as it can be very aggravating to get on any of those scam emails lists...ouch.

Your so right Ricky. As of late I have just been flooded with e-mails from people I never heard of let alone know.
Last July I had what I thought was a e-mail from Federal Express but was not, subject was driver could not find me to deliver and I was expecting a package so I opened. WOW, RANSOM VIRUS. I lost years of pictures and documents plus could not use my computer. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. I do not open any mail if it is not from some friend I know. J.R.

Thanks everybody for your input, I've decided to go to a local case company to build me a new steel guitar case plus replacement road cases.
I can't believe the runaround I've had from people on this forum. Seriously, if you're too busy all you got to do is say so, i've owned a business for 22 years and everybody gets a follow up call or E- message no matter what.
As far as corrupt emails, tell me a criminal who would measure his steel guitar and name make and model spec😏
You outta be ashamed of yourselves really calling yourself a business.....and it's a very bad business habit long term to blow customers off.

I can sympathize with both sides of this argument. One-man operations sometimes aren't looking for tons of orders, because they know they could never fill them. Also, some people's email address, or other online identifier, is something cryptic or childish, like "GudTimeBoy65", and people often like to know just who they're dealing with. They really don't want "faceless" potential customers, and would rather just deal with people they feel won't cause problems.
On the other side of the coin, many people these days just want things fast and hassle-free, and they don't want to spend a lot of time shopping or communicating. (Firms like Amazon have benefited a lot from this trend.) And you, as a customer, certainly have the right to spend your money wherever you want. |

Years ago had the same thing happen. I have never had my Studio systems on any type of network, and now we have 2 laptops to surf & check emails on.
All the improvement stuff is on other systems. If the laptops get hit a 25min restore and we are back up....  |

What I never understood is how a bueatiful instrument like a pedalsteel is most times transported in an ugly flightcase or another case, that not has the beauty of the guitar that is transported. Why is it never stuffed out so nicely as a violincase or guitarcase? |

Sometimes you don't want to advertise what is in the case, especially if it is a musical instrument of some value.
A battered road-case, with a sticker marked "Biohazard" or "Caution - Radioactive Materials" is a far less likely candidate to be stolen than an instrument-shaped case marked "Gibson" or "Guarneri - handle with care".
