Here's a vintage Rickenbacker (spelled Rickenbacher at the time ) B6 Lap Steel. They call this the Panda model and you can see why. In really nice shape. Missing a few dot markers, but sounds incredible. Has original tuning machines. 3 and 6th string tuners are bent slightly but work fine. Comes with the original chipboard case. $775 plus $40 shipping to U.S. Addresses. Thanks!

| Hard to date. There is no serial number, and I haven't taken it apart for the pot codes. Looks like early 40's to me. Metal name plate, and straight head screws on the PU. Maybe some other guys can chime in. Hope that helps. Thanks! |

With the white plates, it could be a War model. I'm not sure, but I think those white plates were plastic as metal was in short supply during the War.
It has the T logo but the name is spelled with an H .
It also has the narrow pickup which makes it a later model. The white lines at the frets are also present on later models.
I can't see the butt end if the strings go through the body or not but I doubt it.
I would place the date at the mid '40s. |

Thanks for the info! The white plates are metal. Strings attach at the tailpiece, not through the body. |

Troy, because of the narrow pickup and the fact that the strings attach through the tail piece, I would guess this might be a 'post-war' B6 (1945 or later).

One more note: The serial number is stamped into the top edge of the keyhead. It may start with the letter 'C'.
