I'm pretty sure that's Johnny Bush, but I don't know who the steeler is. My first inclination was Emmons because of their association, but that doesn't sound like him. |

I think it is Emmons with Johnny. Very clean and tasty stuff. |

I know that Texas is full of "Emmons" quality Steel Players, so I am going to say this is Johnny Bush and Rick Price on Steel...a Great Player! |

Greetings,
Great to see that you enjoyed the track!
In 1997, a goup of old friends got together and recorded a new album to reunite and share the good old times:
Johnny Bush - Drums and Vocals
David Zettner - Bass
Johnny Gimble - Fiddle
Floyd Domino - Piano
Willie Nelson - Guitar and Vocals
and the great Jimmy Day on Steel
They recorded as "The Offenders". Great album!
Kind Regards, Walter _________________ www.lloydgreentribute.com |

Walter, I love it when you stump us then give us the answer and it all becomes so obvious! I just say “DUH, of course” and thank you for the lesson. |

Here's some live footage from The Offenders featuring Jimmy Day. The bass player David Zettner also played steel.

I must be listening to wrong clip. It's for sure not Johnny Bush or Jimmy Day. Song is something about a dogwood cowboy, lol. _________________ Henry Matthews
