Hi, I am about to change my strings on my Marlen SD10 1976. Should I do some kind of servicing whilst without strings ? I do not play everyday... it sits in my studio. Has not been touched mechanically for 10 years !! I know Bad !! Stays in tune and plays well. Though the 3rd and 4th strings seem a little quiet. 3rd has been changed due to a breaking 6 months ago. It has a George L E66 pickup. Is that a good pickup ? Any help on these issues would be great. Thanks STUART

I would check if all screws are still tight enough, put a drop of light oil on moving parts. The pickup is fine.
