Okay songs in the key of E (1 chord), Song goes to A (4 chord), What is the G chord ?
2.5 chord haha
The 2 chord is F#
The 3 chord is G#
How is the G chord written in a chart in the key of E is my question. Thanks.... |

Because your song is in E 2 would be F# minor and the 3 chord would be G# minor _________________ Mullen Royal Precision |

The 2 chord would be shown as 2m-F# 3 chord would be shown as 3m--G# G chord would be shown as 3M
Wait that's not right for the G or it would be assumed to be G#.
I have to think about this one, haven't run into a natural G before in an E scale for the numbering system. _________________ Mullen Royal Precision |

Just called a music friend of mine.
I 1 chord is E
bIII (flatted 3 chord) is a Gmajor
biii would be a flatted 3 minor.
Anyway, I'll write it as a bIII for the G chord in the key of E and move on with my charts.

Ok the G would be 3B so you would move down a half step from G# to G _________________ Mullen Royal Precision |

Oh me and my big mouth just got the luxury of charting the songs for a show coming up. I may chart a song once in awhile but its not something I do very often.Anyway thanks...
3b ( I kinda like that better than bIII) |
