Just finished a little 6 string lap steel for a customer,,,travel size! 19 1/2" long,,,18" scale.

Thanks Joe,,,Tiger Stripe/figured maple with strips of walnut to gain som width. Black water based stain and multiple coats of Tru-Oil.

This is just a question, not a critique, but if the purpose was to be a "travel guitar," were there discussions about maybe making the body narrower, too? It just seems like you could have shaved off a couple inches in the other direct as well, making it even more transportable.
It does look cool, though! Nice work! |

MUCH discussion regarding proportions! Pots and jack space very tight on outside none, zero, ziltch could have been shaved!!! Yes, inside could have been pretty much eliminated, which would have changed the entire shape,,,,some would like that, some would not. In this case I "followed the money" |
