Hi guys. This is what I've been working on for the past month and a half. I have my friend Orlando (Kiko) who is wood craftsman. He builds flamenco guitars and other instruments. He supplies the wood and tools and expert advise. He does all the major wood cutting and I do the sanding and all the rest. It's a 12 string lap steel guitar. This guitar was design by yours truly. The pickup was made by Mullen guitars. Here are some pics. Wood selected is Mahogany and purple heart.
I will post more pics as I go along.

Bishop Hall,
Thank you for your comment.
Yes... What a guy will do when he retires!
Well I decided to build my own lap steel guitar. It is very satisfying. I can hardly wait to finish it and play it.
God bless you brother. I will keep you posted.

Well. Finally. My project is finished. Hope you enjoy the pics.
I'll post more pics later. My internet connection is a bit sluggish. Sorry for that.
Any other tuning ideas besides the Maurice Anderson 12 string lap steel guitar?

Hey Tom. Thank you. It wasn't easy. This is my first project and little experience. But I had great results.
I'm thinking of modifying my Carter Starter now that I acquired a great deal of knowledge.
By the way, I checked out your guitars. Awesome.
Thanks again.

Well, here's the finished product.

Very playable and sounds beautiful. Carries a Mullen pickup.
Thanks Mullen for a fine pickup. Sound and video clips soon to follow on my youtube page.

Tuned to the Maurice Anderson 12 string C6th tuning.
