For years, I used ROXIO for recording and changing stuff over to mp-3s.
Somehow, someway, it disappeared.
I've been messing around for six months now, too long, and simply cannot get Sound Forge to do the job for me.
Anyone out there that could share disc with me????? |

Hey Ray - Have you tried Audacity? The price is right & it's pretty easy to use.

| Sound Forge can do it, in the "Save As" window is a drop-down menu for file type, and MP3 is one of the options. Then below that is a drop-down called "Template" that allows you to choose bit rate and count to control file size. Call me if you need help with it. |

Download and install from https://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/ (Use the green button)
You will also need the LAME MP3 encoder that has to be downloaded from a separate link because of licensing restrictions. Download and install from https://sourceforge.net/projects/lame/?source=directory (Use the green button).
Once installed, check out this youtube video on how to use it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCisC3sHneM
It is quite easy to use, and has a lot of capability. Enjoy!
