For years, I used ROXIO for recording and changing stuff over to mp-3s.

Somehow, someway, it disappeared.

I've been messing around for six months now, too long, and simply cannot get Sound Forge to do the job for me.

Anyone out there that could share disc with me?????

Hey Ray - Have you tried Audacity? The price is right & it's pretty easy to use.

Sound Forge can do it, in the "Save As" window is a drop-down menu for file type, and MP3 is one of the options. Then below that is a drop-down called "Template" that allows you to choose bit rate and count to control file size. Call me if you need help with it.

Download and install from https://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/ (Use the green button)

You will also need the LAME MP3 encoder that has to be downloaded from a separate link because of licensing restrictions. Download and install from https://sourceforge.net/projects/lame/?source=directory (Use the green button).

Once installed, check out this youtube video on how to use it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCisC3sHneM

It is quite easy to use, and has a lot of capability. Enjoy!
