Can you find out for me what tuning Shot Jackson used on the lap steel when he recorded Kitty Well’s songs in the 1950’s. Was it the E tuning on a 6 string lap steel?. Back then would a volume pedal be used/available. I know his 6 string Dobro was tuned to an E....E B G# E B G#. I am wondering if his lap steel’s 6th string the wound one would have been a different tuning.
