I'm needing an original MCI neck selector double switch, or a comparable 3 way mini selector switch that will work. Any and all help and search direction greatly appreciated.
Thx, Pat

Pat, once the selector switch goes out on an MCI they are trashed and it's red which makes the MCI even worse. Since all I keep are red guitars, I may take it off your hands for a nominal fee!

Are they like the Zum ones, a miniature, or are they like the Telecaster? I can't quite tell.
A picture of the switch from the back side would help.
Electronics Supply will have what you need, but you'll have to know what you need. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Lane,
They're little round pushbutton knobs. Kinda like auto transmission selector buttons that were on '64 Plymouths. |

Looks like push-on, push-off DPDT. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Hey Lane,
Yep, I think so. Just gotta find the right size etc. I've got my feelers out for an original and might have a line on one, but it's a needle in a haystack.
Thx for the input!

If you're near a major city, there'll be a dealer in electronics parts. You can bet large money that it's a commercially available part rather than a bespoke part. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

I'm not sure you will find the exact one but you may find one that is close enough with a little tweaking. Try a plunger style :

Hi Bob,
That first link looks like it, and I can put my taller caps on it. Only problem is they're backordered until the 19th, but I might order any way if the caps will fit.
$10. What a deal!
Thx, Pat |

Hi Pat,
That was just an example. Yes you may have to give them a shave and a haircut to make it fit. LOL Don't forget to check the spec's to ensure it switches the way you want , such as push, push (ON - ON)etc..
You can try other places i.e. Digikey. The shipping may cost you more than the part/s.

Here is another one DPDT:

Remember that backorder means "we don't have it, and the people from whom we get it don't have it either."
When people give a completion date for backordered merchandise, they're either hoping or lying. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Thanks Bob,
I think the Mouser is the one, and I appreciate your and everyone's efforts.
I have found an original one, and will get that one, but will probably get 2 Mouser's for extra.
Thanks to everyone.
