There's a ZB Custom 11 brown birds eye maple sd10 3&4 out there somewhere with Buddy Emmons signiture on the end plate.
It was built by Tom Brumley around 84.
I attended Newmans school in Hermatige Tnn
and Buddy was there. After a class he signed his name on some of our guitars.Mine was one of them. Later in years I sold it.
Kind of stupid but these things happen.
Anyway I thought I would bring it up just in case someone comes accross it they would know a little about it. It was a great sounding Guitar. I MISS IT.

Thanks Jerry.

Hey Jerry I remember that guitar! He also signed my little ShoBud Pro 1. I forgot who I sold it to. Man we're getting old! See you in Dallas.

I brought an engraver to the class in Stockton and got Buddy on one end plate and Jeff Newman on the other, and I still use the guitar.

Jerry, I have an all white single neck non pedal steel made for the main purpose of using it for autographs. So far I have around 35 signatures on it of mostly hall of fame steelers and a few friends. Speedy was the first and Emmons was the last so far. I also have pictures of everybody signing it. I just wish I would have started sooner as many of my heroes are gone now. I should have it at Dallas in March as there are still many to go yet.

I have Sho-Bud LDG serial # 10705 with signatures of Buddy Emmons, Jeff Newman, Hal Rugg, Bud Isaacs and Dewitt Scott engraved on the right hand end plate.(left end plate if seated at the guitar). I bought the guitar from George Piburn, around 1983, when I lived in San Diego. I don’t know if the signatures were done at the same time or if it was a collective effort over a period of time.

Chas I was there at the class and remember that guitar you had with all of the brass on it. Do you still have it?

I noticed you didn't ask me to sign it last year. Okay, so I don't qualify for the "few friends" category. That leaves... Okay, nevermind.
