Hey Gang,

I'm thinking of replacing the pickup in my Gibson BR-9. The string spacing is 2.3" pole to pole from outside strings; the "footprint" is 1.35" x 3.35". Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Ian

Contact Jerry Sentell in Sacramento. He fabricated a wide-spaced lap steel P-90 for my Century Deluxe.

I was so happy with it, I recently ordered another to install in a 1954 Gibson Century body that had been stripped of all its electronics that I purchased on eBay.

Jerry's model LS3 will fit the early BR-9s with the wide-oval/racetrack pickup; his model LS5 should fit the later BR-9s with the P-90 style pickup.

Jack,

Thanks for the tip. The Tennessee Honey model looks promising.
