I have recently become the new custodian of what I believe to be the last of the style 2 German silver tricones made by National in Chicago 1936 it is a B series with the number stamped on the headstock.
For those who know our bits & pieces it has a style two body with a style 35/97 headstock and a style 3/4 fingerboard.
A Bastard child of a late Friday night in Chicago, a leftover body from LA or a promo model or a Johnny cash special assembled by a staff member...we will probably never know
Anyway it plays lovely, loud & tone full with a steel tray & four going on five mushrooms internally.
I am referring to it as a 235 as it rolls off the tongue...
Regards Lee

Yes a nice guitar, it is beyond my abilities but I am inspired to try to learn some early Cliff Carlisle or Sol Hoopii, in my own plinky plonky way as the wife puts it....
