Usually at this time of the year I would be off my PC, hanging around in St. Louis, listening to great music, talking to my buddies and friends that I don't see too often otherwise, that's what I did for the last seventeen years in a row...Hard to go through a year without the Convention! Miss seeing you all and hope you're doing well! Special greetings to the entire Scott family, Mary, Michael, DeWitt jr., Sandra and the gang!
Best Regards, Walter _________________ www.lloydgreentribute.com |

Yes Walter, I agree. I had been going since 1975. I missed a few years because of health and weather conditions, though. But, Labor Day weekends were always highlighted by Scotty's convention and meeting so many wonderful people. Being an officer of the PSGA, we would always firm up some players for our show in November and try to coax new guys to play. I'll miss that show. It certainly was a huge part of the steel world we live in. Scotty did great things to promote the steel guitar and he will be missed also.
I wish the Scott family all the best in the future. |

Walt, I was just reading an old ISGC program from Convention #10, 1981. Mary's editorial on the inside cover brought back a lot of memories. I would post a photo of it, but I'm not sure if permission from the Scott's is needed
Many years spent at those Labor Day Conventions always make me nostalgic at this time of year, so I'm bumping up Walter's greeting from last year. |

Still miss all my dear friends, but there is light at the end of the tunnel, at least for me as I have already made plans to go to Dallas next year - Lloyd Green will be there!
