Agreed! Zane King is one of the most innovative and talented steel players on the planet. He can go from crying county to all-out blues/rock riffing at will.
Check out some of his other videos and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I hope he'll be able to make the Dallas show in 2017. I missed him (and his wife--a great singer) at the Jackson booth this year.

Zane has a distinct style. I can usually tell I'm listening to him without peeking. Great steel player, heck, Zane is a fantastic musician.
Donna's beautiful vocals with Zane playing durn near everything, they are a complete package. |

What is Zane up to these days? I haven't seen him post for quite a while. I hope he is busy, not having health or family issues. He is a terrific player, a master of the instrument. |

Larry, I think they are in the middle of moving and musically him and Donna have a lot of irons in the fire. Great folks for sure with unbelievable talent. I don't want to misinform, but from what I can tell on Facebook they are in good health and having a fun and fulfilled life together. Zane and Donna have been Blessed by their maker and are putting it to work for his glory! God Bless!! _________________ Todd

I wish to say something about Zane that has nothing to do with his virtuosity.
My mother suffered from, and eventually died from, asthma. She would have these devastating attacks, than after a few days in the hospital would recover somewhat and go home.
One year she had such an attack 2 or 3 days before labor day. I already had my hotel and flight reservations for the convention. I wanted to cancel, but my wife and father insisted that I go. They pointed out that she was receiving the best of care, and there was nothing I could do to help.
So I went. But my concern for my mother weighed heavily on my mind, and I really did not enjoy the convention the way I would have, had my mother not been so sick.
Zane, who was 16 or 17 at the time, saw that I was troubled, and approached me, asked what was wrong, and could he help out in any way. I told him what was going on back home. Talking to him about my concerns and fears helped me cope with my mother's illness. And Zane, who is a dedicated Christian, lent me his support without trying to convert me. He actually showed me the meaning of Christian love.
I will never forget his thoughtfulness and kindness, and how he reached out to help somebody he didn't really know.
Zane my brother, I will love you till the day I die. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

Thanks for that story Mkke, we are all in the same race and need to help out our fellow runners.
It's nice of you to share that slice of the pie, especially during this Thanksgiving time of the year. _________________ Regards, Craig

Thanks Mike for sharing that. That touches my heart. I will never stop believing that love, acts of kindness, and thoughtfulness toward others change our world more than anything. And the opposite of those weakens us all.
Kind Regards,

Thanks for sharing those thoughts, Mike. Stories like that about the brotherhood of steel players always make me glad to be a part of the tribe.
