Today at Ho`olohe Hou Radio (Click here to listen - http://www.hoolohehou.net)...

"Steel Guitar Saturdays" is now a staple at Ho`olohe Hou Radio. Tune in every Saturday to hear selections from the Ho`olohe Hou Radio archives of more than 25,000 Hawaiian recordings - more than a third featuring the steel guitar. You are likely to hear such legends of the past as Sol Ho`opi`i, Dick McIntire, David Keli`i, Hal Aloma, Sam Makia, Freddie Tavares, Benny Rogers, David 'Feets' Rogers, Bennie Nawahi, Eddie Bush, Jules Ah See, Barney Isaacs, Mel Abe, Joe Custino, Billy Hew Len, Jerry Byrd, Splash Lyons, Herbert Hanawahine and many others from long out-of-print recordings you would likely not find anywhere else. And you will no doubt hear the living legends you might catch performing in Honolulu today including Alan Akaka, Greg Sardinha, Casey Olsen, Bobby Ingano, Isaac Akuna, and Jeff Au Hoy.

And this week, a bonus: Three episodes of the original "Hawaii Calls" broadcasts from the 1960s (with Barney Isaacs and Eddie Pang). Air times as follows:

9a HST | 11a PDT | 2p EDT
12p HST | 2p PDT | 5p EDT
3p HST | 5p PDT | 8p EDT

Tune in through midnight HST every weekend for Steel Guitar Saturdays. ONLY at Ho`olohe Hou Radio.

Today at Ho`olohe Hou Radio (Click here to listen - http://goo.gl/sFPbp4)...

And if you love the idea as much as I do, maybe we'll do it again next week?

Last week hundreds accepted the invitation - from the Netherlands to New Jersey. So "Steel Guitar Saturdays" is now a staple at Ho`olohe Hou Radio.

Tune in through midnight HST every weekend for Steel Guitar Saturdays. ONLY at Ho`olohe Hou Radio.

I am extremely interested in your continuing Ho`olohe Hou Radio.

You have a vast knowledge of Hawaiiana and Hawaiian music. It would seem a waste if you did not use it.

Keep up the good work.

Aloha no,
Don

Thanks, Don! I appreciate the support. So many rare and even one-of-a-kind recordings being featured. I wish it would catch on among more steel players.

But we'll keep doing it every Saturday!
