This is a virtually new looking Kline U12. Such good shape that when Joe Kline was going over it he said he'd put it up next to one of his new ones. The chrome is a mirror, the under carriage is spotless, and the whole guitar sings. All of the aprons and body are pretty much perfect. I just prefer a pad. I thought I would try a
single neck but I am just used to a pad. The guitar sounds and plays smooth and butter. As with anything I sell, take 3 days to try it out, if you don't like it, return it with no questions asked and I'll give you all money back. I'm pricing this to sell quick. Recently saw one on here for over 3500. I need to sell quick and am asking 2650 for it or any reasonable offer. Thanks for looking.
Scott.

Mine now! Long thought it would be great to own a Kline U12, and now I finally do.
Would've preferred lacquered wood, but hey - beggars can't be choosers, and the black Formica is cool.
Beautiful Kline - thanks to Scott for his fine service.

Congrats, Daniel, you've got yourself a rare bird! Back in the 1970s, Kline was considered a highly improved ZB as far as twang and tone, with much better mechanics. A lot of Bay Area players had these, they were the cat's meow.

Thanks, John.
As I say, I really love a wood finish, but this Formica Kline is still a beauty. I think a ZB Custom was the very first pedal steel I ever saw live.

I'm probably going to have Joe Kline add the 8th pedal - I really like raising the 6th & 10th strings a whole step, and that's part of the standard C6 set up (though I never played C6, I use this change).
Seems like the A pedal is cocked laterally towards the B pedal. Joe says he can fix that.

So unless having 8 pedals on this U12 is somehow going to greatly decrease the value, I'll likely opt for that.

I think that A pedal is supposed to be like that. I noticed that. Joe looked over it recently. Call me if there are any issues. Glad youre loving the guitar.

That thought occurred to me as well, Scott.
Certainly don't think it was your fault; an instrument's going to suffer some in 32 years, and the pedal being cocked is the only thing that may be off. It's a tad harder to hook up than the other pedals, otherwise this baby looks new.

I'm keeping this steel.
And I'd recommend you as a seller, Scott, no question.

So where does Joe live these days, and is he still building steels? Rumor had it that decades ago his wife made him quit! Again, just a rumor I heard, I have nothing against his wife, or any wife for that matter. Wink
