I own 2 Melbert lap steels, a six string and an eight string. I love them both. What you get versus what you pay is amazing. Can you tell what type of wood this guitar is made from? and also what kind of pickup is in it? Thanks.

Steve, I really don't know anything about Melbert steels, but this is ridiculous price for this instrument, and I'm about to pull it off the market if it doesn't sell soon ...

Don't take it off the market just yet. I have a Melbert 8 string, Love it. Need to do a little figuring. I do have a use for it.

I'm selling these now for $399. The wood appears to be poplar and I believe the pickup is a Lace Sensor. Scale length is 23-1/4". I can furnish a replacement tuner to the buyer for the tuner that is different, no charge. I'm not in any way involved in this sale but I do think it's a good deal. -- Bob Allen -- Melbert Guitars
