For sale is my 2001 Deering Golden Era. It is in very good to excellent conditions. It does have a few "dings" on the back of the headstock (see photo) and one small ding on the back of the neck. I could not get the later to show up in a photo.

I am the second owner. I purchased it from the Bluegrass Parlor in Tampa, FL in 2005. As far as I know it is a stock Golden Era. A stock Deering True Tone tailpiece has replaced the Presto tailpiece shown in the photos.

Railroad track are installed on frets 7, 9, & 10. Comes with OHSC.

$2200.00
Offers considered.

Great Banjo. The quality is as good as any made today. I have a Left handed model.
Some guy named Earl Scruggs wrote his name inside mine with permanent market. I can't seem to get it off. Good luck Todd. Great Banjo.

I have replaced the "Presto" tailpiece with a stock Deering Truetone Tailpiece. It's definitely a sturdier tailpiece and I think produces a better tone. It is also adjustable.

Very fair price. Wish I lived close. I find the Deering vol/tone to be all over the place. I've played some that are AWESOME and then some that didn't meet the grade. Is the price negotiable and would you be interested in a 10 day trial ?

If the price is very fair, why should it be negotiable? Smile I am willing to consider offers. Also, I would consider a 10 day return process with the buyer paying shipping and insurance should a return be necessary.

Fair being relative to what everyone else is asking but not selling. Sorry if I offended you and your price. Thanks.

These are among the best buys that you'll ever see in a used 5-string.

These are some of the best banjos out there IMO.
Attention to detail and quality. That is one of the nicest resonator backs that I have seen, awesome.
These are Deering's take on the Earl Scruggs model.
Every bit as good as the Gibson Earl Scruggs, maybe better IMO.
If there is a variance in tone I would say that is more due to having proper setup.
Great deal.

I agree these are amazing banjo's as I have sold them through the store. Not only is the projection and tone beautiful but I have always been so impressed by the perfect balance between all the strings.
This is a great deal and def worth the price.

I have a Gold Star top of the line 5 string; would you be interested in a swap plus some cash on my end? I am local;just above New Port Richey.

These high end Deerings rate right up there with the Stellings and Gibsons. This is a superb Banjo at a very good price.

Hi, There is a sale pending, but don't expect it to compete until later this year when the buyer returns from overseas.

Upon completion, I'll send a donation to the Forum.

Regards,
Todd
