I have been playing steel for 14 years and still consider myself as a beginner. I have spent hours, lately, studying players on youtube, not to copy them but to learn from them.
I heard Paul Franklin, in the Station Inn, once tell a fan to play as many styles of music as he could, if he wanted to improve, I took that advice and also studied Pro players.
I have been studying Gary Carter, playing, "I Love You Because". I have tabbed the whole piece as acurately as I can and if anyone wants a copy, or want to suggest corrections. Request a free copy on jrussellacms@aol.com
Gary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztXiyTEpjfc
It would be nice to share ideas with others, freely.

Very well done, John. Nice neat work (as opposed to my handwritten tab!). I'm just about to fire up the steel and give it a shot. Thanks again and keep the tab coming. |

Thank you all for your kind comments.
I have done much in the way of tabbing lately and wanted to "test the waters", to see if you guys would accept it.
I have studied folks like, John Hughey and although I know I can never even come close, I have learned a lot from watching his videos.
David Hartley is doing me a backing track for I Love You Because. When I have it, I will share it with those who asked for tab.
Kind Regards

Thanks for mailing the tab John. Looks very neat and clear. I'm working on it already.
As far as "testing the waters" I would say the water's good! So I hope you'll have some more stuff like this available. _________________ Stage One licensed by Zumsteel, Boss Katana 100, Gretsch Electromatic G5715, Dobro Hound Dog Deluxe Square Neck

Would love a copy, John. And a backing track when David has it done. For those who have not checked it out, see John doing Apache on YouTube with David.
