We're going to be in Burnet Texas for a week or so, who is playing in Austin that we could come out and see? |

I can only say where I'm playing.
I play with Weldon Henson at the Broken Spoke this Friday night 9:30pm; then on Tuesday at the Broken Spoke with Weldon(we play every tuesday at broken spoke); then wed. at The Little Longhorn with Scott Angle then I'm at Globe Theatre with Weldon in Bertram, Tx; right by Burnet, Tx on July 30th.

In addition to these two wonderful players, if you get a chance, go see George Carver perform. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

And don't you DARE call the town Burnette, with the accent on the second syllable.
It's Burn-it Durn-it!
Can't Ya Learn It?

We were in Burnet a while back and found out the proper way to say it. Folks do look at you funny when you say it wrong. Hope to see Ricky on Friday and Danny Smith on Saturday. Danny is the son of Jeannie and Wayne Smith from Georgia. Most steel pickers know Wayne as the bass player at a lot of steel shows.
If I didn't have to get back to N.J. in early August I would stay so I could get to see more pickers.
Thanks for the responses. |

I've been watching the YouTube clips of Ricky with Weldon at Broken Spoke, and it looks like a fun time with great music. I'm guessing you'll enjoy that one for sure. |
