I just now noticed the pull rods are black. That is the first I've seen that on a Sierra, or any steel that I can recall. Are they anodized black?

No, they are covered with shrink fit tubing. Both of my Sierra's (Sessions) are that way.

tim and roy, those shrink tubes on the pull rods do away with the noise that a lot of guitars have. plus this guitar plays great. fact is if someone don't buy it it won't make me mad. it is actually a little lighter weight than a emmons pp. with me holding it assembled on my bathroom scales it weighs 46 lb....i will consider single neck emmons pp or sd10 legrande 2....thanks jack....(or we might negoiate on the price a little to interested buyers)

I figured it might be noise dampening, although with my 70's D-10 Sierra, the only noise that may need dampening could be coming from the top, not the underside! Laughing

They must have shaved some weight over the years; My Crown D-10 weighs 60 lb. on the bathroom scale with me holding it. If I gigged, I would be forced to get a lighter instrument, even though I love the sound of mine.

Good luck with your sale, that Sierra is a top level instrument, no doubt!

tim, the legs on the session sierra are very light weight aluminun, plus the body itself weighs less. the crowns are very good playing and sounding guitars, fact is i am having a hard time leaving it for sale. as i said before if i did'nt need the money and already have two emmons pp's it would keep living at my house....thanks jack....(if anyone has a guitar that you would like to trade for a d/10 please let me know, you never can tell. maybe a s/10 or sd/10)
