This should get you in the ballpark. I don't hear the steel in the initial walk-up from IV to V. I tabbed it through the cadence to I: the rest is A pedal noodling at fret 8 and then fret 3. Slurs matter here:

Hmmm.
The steel in the intro is certainly possible, I just can't definitely make it out in the mix there, but you're probably right.
The first run up to fret 15, I hear the arrival note as a G, not a B, hence the string pairing of 6 and 4 in my tab. Then, I hear the initial descent coming down from B, hence the 5 and 3 grip in my tab. After that, I just hear the whole sequence of licks as quintessential, archetypal, bread-and-butter C pedal. But if you hear it that way, you should absolutely play it that way. I'll be there Sunday keeping score. |

In any case, I'm pretty sure you don't want to end at 13 with a B pedal on 6 (B-flat), right? |

I just tabbed out a "Mesmerized" version of it - done in Tabledit if you want the TEF file, let me know.
