There will be an estate sale this weekend of the contents of his home, including what is left of his musical equipment and steels.

Buddy Emmons was a legendary pedal steel guitar player and innovator. We are selling the contents of his home in Hermitage TN this weekend. We have 2 Wurlitzer pianos, a vintage steel guitar, lots of music equipment, tools, furniture and household items for sale |

This reminds me of the Sammy Kershaw song "Yard Sale" Too sad. Long live the King. _________________ Bill Bailey

Thats quite sad to think people who didn't know him are going to be picking over his stuff -- would have thought his family would have wanted most of those things... _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9

I would imagine the family (by choice or by last will) has already taken what they wanted. |

I plan to run by there in the morning as it's just a few miles away from where I work. It would be kinda cool to have something from my steel guitar hero... |

I don't even like to think about Buddy being gone! If Texas wasn't so far away, I'd go by just to pick up something that was his. He was the best!

Just came away from the Buddy Emmons Estate Sale. Lots of steel players there as you might have guessed. Looks like Buddy was certainly into electronic things as there were many items like that. Boxes of Goodrich pedals and a lot of prototype Goodrich stuff as well. 4 or 5 Matchbros, a bunch of match boxes and other goodrich items, some I have never seen or heard of. Lots of household items, vinyl records, cds, some tools, etc... I ended up with some items myself. One thing I bought was a bible that he and peggy had signed which will be gifted to my dear friend Tim Lusby.
I was fun and sad for me at the same time.
RIP Buddy Emmons
Mike
