I have a beautiful dual 8 professional and am wondering what the value would be. It was made in the 50's. Plays great but am thinking about selling it.

Hey Grover. Welcome. If I may suggest, use the search function in the upper right hand corner. Enter Fender Dual Pro in the Keywords box, select All Posts in the Search Previous box, select Steel guitars for Sale in the Forum Section box, leave everything else blank then search.

That will return a page of results from other sales of the Dual Pros there which should give you some idea of what yours is worth. Consider condition, case or no etc. Good luck!

You might want to search eBay and the other online auction sites as well for ideas.

That guitar appears to be in really great shape. Looks like walnut maybe?

I paid $1100 for my '53 Dual 8 in February. Lately I've seen most listed for $15-1600, and as high as $2200.

Great guitars, that one looks like a refinish , which usually brings the value down.

The asking price is meaningless. You want to see the selling price. Check the completed auctions on eBay to see what other D-8 Fenders have sold for recently. They usually sell for about $900 to $1200. You'll notice that the ones listed at higher prices have not sold. Sellers can ask any price they want. That doesn't mean the item is worth that much and it doesn't mean the item sold for that much.
