Damir ,it looks like an Emmons to me ( but i bet that was the plan huh ?)I would love to hear it . It really looks nice . Thanks for sharing it with us . Where are these guitars being made at ? Is there a web site and more information that we can read ? Maybe a price list ? Best regards,,,Gary .

I played that axe briefly one day at Damirs house, it has the look and feel of an Emmons original push pull guitar.

This is one fine sounding horn!

I also had the pleasure of playing this instrument,
and it is very precice and has 'That Sound" big time.

It also has a consistent sound right up the neck.
It is a sound that would cut through the muddiest stage sound, and be clear out front.

I have never owned a PP... so far, but this is one I would want.

I am thinking about A Promat myself but don't want a D10.
What's the price of a SD10?
I know that a D10 8x4 comes to 3600Euro+shipping.

HUH, guys,I didn`t expect such a great response.Thank you all very very much.Once we get those new Promats here I might try to set up another promo session at famous Steel Guitar Nashville store at Bobbe`s (of course,if Bobbe agrees with that idea)last time we had a few people and had a great time pickin` and talking steel.You need to come out and hear Bobbe play it,in his hands this instrument sings like an angel,if you think you know what is "THAT" tone on push pull,you need to come and hear Bobbe playing PROMAT,it is something awesome.

I can't describe the sound, how wonderful it plays and sounds, but I did experience it last June at Bobbe's. Call Bobbe, he can get you the best sounding guitar I've ever played. Thanks Damir for introducing this instrument. I ordered mine in June and should be here anytime. Believe me if you ever wanted that sound---and you know what it is!!!! Bobbe can get that for you as quickly as possible.
Call Steel Guitar Nashville and just let Bobbe tell you what he experienced. I couldn't believe it.

I saw the video Damir shot of Bobbe playing it for the 1st time.
And he speaks the truth. the most telling thing besides the hearing the sound in his hands was :

Watching him search for another word to top the last ones...
and he had RUN OUT of supurlatives.

I almost can't imagine Bobbe speachless.
But this was close.

I had just finished playing the guitar at Damirs place and I understood. A serious sound.

Mr.Papic at work.This is how Promat guitars are made.When I say "hand made" I mean it.

Sava.Mr.Papic`s son and dear friend of mine helping at the shop.With all the orders coming in I`m sure they`ll need to hire some more help soon.

Damir.

I had the pleasure of receiving some e-mail from mister Papic.(or his son)
They sounded like real American so somebody must have translated my questions for them I think.
Don't know who it was and I don't care but what I do want to say is that these guitars look like they were made by some real craftsman.The pictures show that they realy ARE made by great craftsman.
Just compare this with other builders like Carter or MSA for instance.They all use CNC machines.The effort they have to put in to build a Steel guitar that can compete with the major brands is incredibly.
And I didn't even bring up the price yet.
3600Euro for a D10 with 8 and 4.
That's $4680+shipping.
And since I could pick it up on my way to Austria next year I am seriously considering of ordering me one.The only thing that is different with the other brands is that you have to pay the full amount of money in a time periode of 6 months.600Euro's a month.
And if all the comments about this steel guitar are true then I will make the big step and order me a D10 early 2005.

Anybody want to buy a "Nikaro" steel guitar?

Nick,you are the first american musician to play Promat in USA, and your comments are very much appreciated.I`m not sure about the color.With Promat refusing to use any kind of materials but certain proven materials to make their guitars ,it may be hard to find mica color you want and at the same time have a mica specifications Promat demends for it`s guitars.But we both know that you want one since you tried it and we both know that it is just matter of time when you`ll get one build..

.You just have to talk to your lady and get a permition (as the rest of us I guess).
Ronald,yes,no computers involved in any stage of Promat`s making process,it is all done by hand,no CNC and BBC or CIA

, just pure love and knowledge,few pairs of hands and lot`s of patience.

Mirko Tomic,great player and friend.Mirko plays with country and jazz bands on some radio and TV shows and also help testing Promat guitars.Here He is testing my guitar after was done.

Mr.Papic and Robert.Robert is steel guitar player from Slovenija and He purchased amazing S-12, extended E9, Promat.No need to say he is thriled about his new guitar.

These steel guitars sound great man.Good sustain and all.
The only thing that I am not satisfied with is the way the third string sounds.

I am experimenting a little with that but cannot seem to get it quit right yet.

Any of you guys have a different set-up on your guitar that might help me a little?

It's a 24 1/2 scale.
Just like any other steel you can buy.

Ronald,maybe you can try another gauge for your 3rd string?Would that help?What is wrong with the way 3rd sounds?

I don't like the sound of it in combination with other strings.It sounds to thin.
I have tried 0.11 and 0.115.
Maybe a 0.12 would do the trick.
I'll try and get to you on it.
Maybe bother the neighbours a little.
haha.

I'd recommend trying a .012, Ron.

It seems alot of guys are trying that these days, regardless of the brand of steel.
